Survival Techniques mini mural workshop.
Survival Techniques is a legal street art project that promotes hope and optimism and brings a little light to people having a dark day.
The typographic paintings include phrases such as HIDE LESS, CHAT MORE. TALK TO SOMEONE, ANYONE, ABOUT ANYTHING and NOW IS THE TIME. The project, started 2 years ago by Naomi Edmondson, began as a list she made herself to remind her what to do when feeling really low; things that always made her feel a bit better.
Learn more about the Survival Techniques project and develop some of your own ‘survival techniques’ that help you feel good. Using the most personally resonant action or phrase from your list, create your own typographic artwork on paper with guidance on dynamic lettering and use of colour from artist Naomi Edmondson (whose private view is the same evening as our 2nd birthday, its going to be a good party, so put it in your diary).
Include a selection of 'small bites'; mixed garlic and chilli olives, roasted padron peppers, smoked mozzarella dough and oxtail arancini balls, oh yes and our zucchini fries. Choose either a glass of house organic wine or local craft ale on tap. Or if you're doing dry January choose a smoothie?!
