MAS DES AGRUNELLES, LANGUEDOC 2014 - BARBASTE
A beautiful and fleshy blend of chardonnay, marsanne and roussanne, this wine is kicking off our wine tasting for its perfect marriage of indigenous grape varieties in the Languedoc. Everything in the vineyard is done organically and biodynamically, employing traditional methods to respect the fruit and terroir.
NINO BARRACCO, MARSALA 2014 - CATARRATTO
Chosen not for its unusual grape, rather for the winemaker's courageous and honest approach to how the grapes speak to the true potential of his land. A sturdy, saline, wonderfully aromatic and intense wine, this is sure to awaken the senses.
JOHANNESHOF REINISCH, THERMENREGION 2014 - ROTGIPFLER
Worked organically in the Thermen wine region south of Vienna, the Rotgipfler grape holds only 0.2% of Austria's plantings. A delicate peach skin and honey'd wine from wild yeasts and stainless steel fermentation, not to be missed!
LA GRAPPERIE, LOIRE 2011 - PINEAU-GAMAY-COT-GROLLEAU
A medley of indigenous grapes from the Loire, this wine is high energy, bursting with juiciness, speaking truthfully about its maker's low intervention techniques. Worked by hand, without filtration or added sulphites, his wines are elegant with unequalled balance and detail.
